I’ve always been a “shark nerd” and in the early 2000’s I learned about the horrendous practice of shark finning. A few years ago I started a Facebook page called Facts Not Attacks, and later added an account on Instagram to try and educate and help spread awareness about the massive amount of sharks killed each year for their fins.
Through this, I found the non-profit group based out of Barcelona: Nakawe Project. When they posted that they needed a volunteer designer, I jumped at the chance to help. I’ve been working with them since February 2016 to create informational sheets to be distributed are their events, and to help create images for their crowdfunding effort to raise money so they can film and produce a series of free documentaries.
Here is some of the work I have done for them so far. And please, donate and help if you can. Every single dollar goes directly into the funding for their projects.
